With the passage of the Scamulus Bill, these are the kinds of morons who will be getting government handouts from our taxes:
According to the AP: Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald's employees told her they were out of Chicken McNuggets.
According to a police report, 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.
She says employees refused to give her a refund, saying all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.
Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge.
And…
A West Virginia man who police say attempted to rob a convenience store instead ended up buying a soft drink with his debit card — ultimately leading to his arrest.
Shawn Thomas Lester, 33, told the store clerk Monday he had a gun and wanted all the money in the register, police said. But the suspect got flustered when a customer walked in and the clerk told him to pay for the soft drink.
Lester handed over his debit card, then signed the receipt "John Doe" and left without any cash.
Police traced the debit card and found Lester, of Charleston. He told police he was only joking when he said he had a gun and demanded money.
He was charged with armed robbery in Kanawha County, according to a criminal complaint.
And..
A man was been arrested after police said he used counterfeit money to purchase fake OxyContin pills from an undercover officer. Unicoi County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 21-year-old man on Tuesday and charged him with criminal conspiracy with schedule II drugs, forgery and criminal simulation.
Finally…
A 26-year-old West Allis (WI) woman has been charged in the death of her 3-month-old daughter, who, investigators say, died of acute methadone intoxication after being given formula that was laced with the drug.
A criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court charges Andrea P. Zalewski with one count of child neglect resulting in death. If convicted, she faces fines of up to $100,000 and up to 25 years in prison.
According to the complaint, West Allis firefighters responded to a 911 call in the 1400 block of S. 81st St. on Oct. 29 of last year. They found the baby, Lola Lieb, without a pulse and not breathing.
Her mother, Zalewski, told investigators that the baby was on a sleep apnea monitor that went off before she found her baby was not breathing. Investigators, however, later learned from a download of the monitor's memory that it had last been used on Oct. 22 for six seconds, was turned off and not used after that, according to the complaint.
Police following up with the baby's pediatrician in January learned that the mother had been on methadone during her pregnancy and the child was born with a methadone addiction.
